Southern California Wedding Planner Jill Watson introduces an exciting new product!
After being in the business for many years, Jill Watson noticed that windy conditions caused her bride’s veils to blow around, disrupting photos and the ceremony. She set out to find a solution to this common Southern California issue and the result was Veil Weights!
Veil weights are beautiful pieces of magnetic jewelry that can easily attach to any veil. The weights are made of genuine mother of pearl and Swarovski crystals. These are not permanent and can be taken on and off as needed. They allow your veil to have movement, while keeping it from blowing out of control.
These beautiful little trinkets can also be used after the wedding as magnets to display precious wedding photo memories. It seems as though Jill Watson has conquered this issue with her creative new product. So when the wind blows – your veil won’t!

Forty degrees and torrential rain didn’t stop the 1,000+ dedicated wedding shoppers from attending the I Do! Bridal Event held in The Huntington Ballroom this past Sunday. Christine Zohrabians of Fancy That! Event Design and Coordination sure knew how to produce an eye-popping gathering of the top wedding professionals in the Los Angeles area! There were so many fresh and innovative displays!
We loved sharing space again this year with Eddie Zaratsian, who’s the uber Creative Director of Tic Tock Couture Florals. Eddie created an amazing organic arrangement of succulents and drift wood with dramatic floral designs, which were highlighted by Town and Country Rental’s beautiful Vineyard Collection furniture rental line.
Guests indulged in Langham Pastry Chef John Quinn’s Blissful Bites, which came straight off our Sweet Surrender dessert menu. The liquid mango exploding with rich flavor in your mouth was a hit, which left everyone wanted to know how John created such a sensation.
As event planners, we all know there’s nothing more important than professional photography to capture a beautiful event! A special thanks to Duke Images and Jen O’Sullivan of Boutique Wedding Photography for providing pictures from the event!
I was thrilled when I opened my email this morning and found that one of my stunning brides had sent me the link to their cinematic wedding video. What a truly wonderful way to start the day off! As you may remember, I recently blogged a few photos from Diana and Rashid’s special day. They were such a sweet and endearing couple and they truly utilized all of the little nooks throughout the property for their photos. The result was an incredibly memorable and special day that they will always remember.
Below is a wonderful video which was prepared by Shannon over at Avery J. Productions. Enjoy the clip!

I love things that keep me organized! My recent favorite discovery is a website and App called Pinterest – an online pin board where you can organize and share the things you love. I discovered it a few months ago and find myself obsessed! While you’re browsing the internet you can “pin” any photos, recipes, hair styles or fashion that you come across to your online boards. You can organize your photos into boards with your own titles such as “My Style,” “Wedding Décor,” “Kitchen Remodel,” “Cute Animals” or “Food Photos”. I just can’t seem to figure out how to add the “Pin” option to my iPad, which would be the ultimate…
Take a look at these, which may help to inspire your own boards:
I hope these help to inspire you to create your own boards! I think they can be very helpful when you’re trying to pick your theme, colors and décor for your wedding!
